SOMPAD is aware of the current situations that impede security to the Somali Communities. We ensure that Protection has been attained through policies and actions, including legislative measures, which seek to:

• Enhance the capacity and opportunities for the poor and vulnerable to improve and sustain their livelihoods and welfare
• Enable income-earners and their dependents to maintain a reasonable level of income through decent work
• Ensure access to affordable health care, social security and social assistance.

SOMPAD is ensuring Protection of human rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups, such as children, women, ethnic minorities and internally displaced persons (IDPs), Minority and marginalized empowerment and civil rights advocacy and Gender exclusion and gender-based violence advocacy.
