SOMPAD is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group; the poor, socially and economically deprived people

• To concertize and create awareness among the people of poorest of the poor on prevailing socio-economic situation and encourage them for active participation in socioeconomic development program.
• To build capacity of women, teens, children and youth to demand for quality public services through a secure and open minded community.
• To build and develop institutions that promotes dialogue and reconciliation.
• To promote and initiate community advocacy and rights approach to development in the community concerning humanitarian assistance, Security, Peace and Development, Sustainable Livelihoods, Women’s Rights and Gender Equality.
• Initiate and promote alternative livelihoods in the post conflict era among communities.
• To undertake suitable projects and programs with special emphasis on women empowerment, Family Planning & Family Welfare/ Comprehensive Rural Development/Preservation of environment
